Announcements
5/19/08: The solution to HW 5 is now available (in Word .doc format). NOTE: There was a typo in the solution to Problem 2 as originally posted; that error has been fixed and the file has been updated.
5/16/08: A few notes for today: · The Q&A session for the final exam will be Monday, May 19, 1:00 pm, in Dion 305. I’ll stick around the lab until 3:00 pm or you run out of questions, whichever happens later. Remember, this session will be entirely question-driven. I’m not preparing any material to present to you, but I’ll answer any questions you have about the exam, which could include further explanation of topics we covered in lecture, working out old problems from the previous exams, quizzes, and homeworks, and anything else you can think of that might be relevant. · All labs have been graded and are available from my office. If I am not there, the labs will be in a box outside my office door. Please note that my office is located in a lab (Room 221 in Group II), and if nobody is in the lab or the attached offices, the door to 221 is closed. · HW 5 will hopefully be graded by mid-afternoon today (Friday) but will most likely be available by Monday. · After looking at the most up-to-date grade sheet, I have a revised list of students who are missing labs and what labs they are missing, which is given below by ID #. If you are on this list and have not already spoken to me about missing labs, please do so ASAP. · 00792675: Labs 8 and 10 · 00275899: Lab 8 · 00808724: Labs 5, 7, and 8 · 00809349: Labs 5 and 7 · 00324566: Lab 9 · During Tuesday’s class, I said that Dion 114 was one of the large lecture halls on the first floor of Dion; that’s actually incorrect. The room is a regular classroom that seats about 40 students (I believe) and is on the side of Dion that faces away from Parking Lot 17.
5/12/08: The most up-to-date lecture slides are now available.
5/8/08: HW 5 is now available; sorry for the delay in posting this assignment. Please note that no late assignments will be accepted, since the assignment is due on the last day of classes. The lecture slides have also been updated.
4/27/08: Lab 9 and Lab 10 are now available.
