The Third Conference of Technical Exchanges Across the Straits on Water Resources was held July 28-30, 1997, in Beijing. The Second Conference was held in Taipei, Taiwan, and the First Conference again in Beijing. It was organized jointly by the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, The National Taiwan University, and the Chinese American Water Resources Association in America. It was very well attended with a large number of participants coming from outside Mainland China, as shown in the group picture below.
