The Third Conference of Technical Exchanges Across the Straits on Water Resources was held July 28-30, 1997, in Beijing. The Second Conference was held in Taipei, Taiwan, and the First Conference again in Beijing. It was organized jointly by the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research 中国 水利 水电 科学 研究院, The National Taiwan University 国立 台湾大学, and the Chinese American Water Resources Association 美华 水利 协会 in America. It was very well attended with a large number of participants coming from outside Mainland China, as shown in the group picture below.
