Caoyangwan village has already provided with a key dam constructed many years ago. Its reservoir has since been filled with sediment, and the dam must be elevated to increase the reservoir's storage capacity. The dam top connects two pieces of tableland joining them into a single village. Without the dam the two sides could hardly communicate. As shown here, the reservoir level has reached the safety limit of the dam.
